Genetic Counselor
Genetic counseling is a unique profession that blends two of my favorite topics of study: medical genetics and psychology. I find empowering patients in the decision-making process and advocating for families in need extremely rewarding.
Being in tune with each of my patients’ unique health needs, emotions, assumptions, belief systems, and values is essential for building a trusting relationship. Taking an active listening approach helps my patients understand I’ll meet them where they are, get them to where they want to be, and help them make informed decisions about their pregnancies in a safe environment.
While not working, I love traveling, lifting, graphic design, and spending time with family and friends.
