About The High Risk Pregnancy Center and Its Advanced Subspecialty Care
We’re here to help you achieve your dream of having a healthy pregnancy and a successful delivery with excellent outcomes.
At the High Risk Pregnancy Center in Nevada, we are devoted to protecting the health of mothers-to-be and their unborn babies. As obstetric subspecialists, our highly trained and experienced maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) doctors offer the most advanced testing and treatment options available for reducing pregnancy risks.
In fact, our team has been on the leading edge of MFM (once known as perinatology) for more than two decades. Since then, we’ve introduced many new capabilities in Nevada and have made a substantial contribution to the modern standard of MFM care. Today, we still lead the way in technology, procedures, and commitment to the women in our care and their unborn babies.
A team of caring experts dedicated to you and your baby.
We are a highly skilled and experienced team of doctors, advanced practitioners, OB/GYN nurses, sonographers and genetic counselors committed to being available whenever you need us. We take the extra time to understand your concerns, and we explain your risks, condition and options in terms you can understand. We also educate you on how to take care of yourself, and we give you the support you need, every step of the way.
The compassion, understanding and availability you can depend on.
Our doctors understand high-risk pregnancy—not just medically, but emotionally. While we focus on leading-edge medicine, we never lose sight of your feelings and dreams. We treat you and your family with the compassion and respect you deserve, ensuring you never feel alone as you wait for a diagnosis or face the frustrations of a high-risk pregnancy.
One way we make sure you are supported and cared-for is our uncommon commitment to first-rate customer service. In our care, you get the expertise and capability of the nation’s largest private-practice MFM team—a team that works together and with your obstetrician and other doctors. And we’re available 24/7 for high-risk problems that arise.
Here’s how we make sure you are—and feel—cared-for and supported:
- Diagnose – We work to minimize medical problems that may affect you or your pregnancy by evaluating your risks before conception, during your first trimester, and regularly thereafter. The High Risk Pregnancy Center provides state-of-the-art screenings that give us advanced monitoring capabilities few in the U.S. can match.
- Counsel – Our subspecialists, genetic counselors and diabetes advanced practitioners provide expert evaluation and counseling for family medical history, maternal health concerns and obstetrical health issues that may affect future pregnancies.
- Treat – Once you are in our care, your maternal-fetal medical team is here for you 24 hours a day, from top-notch sonographers and sensitive genetic counselors to compassionate nurses and highly respected doctors. For all types of pregnancy complications, we offer a level of expertise and commitment that keeps us at the forefront of maternal-fetal medicine.
- Collaborate – We act as your obstetrics team coordinator, developing your plan of care as a high risk pregnancy patient and collaborating with your obstetrician, pediatrician, primary care doctor and family to give you the best chance for successful delivery. Sometimes, when the level of care you need is beyond the expertise of your obstetric caregiver, we will assume your full care for the duration of your pregnancy. We participate in multi-state clinical trials and have personnel devoted full-time to research, so we can share our knowledge with the Las Vegas medical community and improve the standard of pregnancy care across the board.
What is Maternal-Fetal Medicine?
Maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) is an OB/GYN subspecialty. MFM doctors, once called perinatologists, are specialists in caring for and managing high-risk pregnancies. After completing their obstetrics-gynecology residency training, MFM doctors spend three additional years in fellowship training specific to the care of high-risk pregnancies. The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology awards a separate, distinct board certification for MFM specialists who pass the rigorous requirements. The High Risk Pregnancy Center is the largest private-practice team of board-certified MFM specialists in the United States.
