We are excited to share some wonderful news with our patients and community. The High Risk Pregnancy Center has welcomed Staci Connolly, MS, Genetic Counselor to our Reno team.
For more than 20 years, we have been dedicated to helping women and families across Nevada navigate high risk pregnancies with expertise, compassion, and support. Adding a new genetic counselor strengthens the resources we can provide to patients who may face questions about genetics, family history, or prenatal screening results during pregnancy.
Why Genetic Counseling Matters
Pregnancy is an exciting journey, but it can also bring questions, especially if test results raise concerns or if a family history of genetic conditions exists. Many families wonder: What do these results mean? What options are available? How can we make the best decisions for our health and our baby?
This is where genetic counseling makes a difference. Staci will work closely with patients to help them understand their risks, explore testing options, and feel supported as they make informed decisions. Having this kind of guidance can reduce uncertainty and help families move forward with confidence.
Meet Staci Connolly
Staci recently completed her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at Bay Path University, with training in prenatal, cancer, pediatric, and general genetics at respected institutions such as UC Davis Health, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and Quest Diagnostics.
Before becoming a genetic counselor, Staci spent eight years as a high school chemistry teacher. Her teaching background gives her a unique ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately, something patients deeply value when facing important decisions. She describes her counseling style as compassionate, collaborative, and educational, and she is dedicated to making sure every patient feels heard and supported.
Outside of her professional work, Staci enjoys traveling, gardening, running with her local club, hiking, and spending time with her family. She recently even picked up ice skating as a new hobby.
What This Means for Our Patients
By joining our Reno practice, Staci brings additional expertise to families who are navigating pregnancy with genetic concerns. She will help patients interpret screening results, explore reproductive options, and understand even rare genetic conditions with clarity and confidence.
Her presence also reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding access to advanced care across Nevada. We believe every patient deserves the highest level of support, not only from maternal fetal medicine specialists, but also from counselors and providers who can meet their individual needs.
Appointments are available by referral or by calling 702-382-3200.
We are honored to welcome Staci to our team and look forward to the care and support she will provide to families across Reno and beyond.
