Nikki Long, MSN, CNM, APRN
Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Nikki Long is a highly experienced nurse midwife and advanced practice registered nurse who has been working in women’s health since 2011 and a nurse since 1994. In 2013, she specialized in maternal fetal medicine which combined her background in critical care nursing and women’s health.
Nikki brings a unique perspective to high-risk pregnancy care as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a love of midwifery. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive support to women with complex pregnancies, empowering them with education and actively involving them in their care decisions. Nikki’s commitment to her patients and her collaborative approach ensures they feel informed and supported at every stage. “It is important to educate patients regarding their disease process and allow them to be a participant in the decision making process of determining their care,” Nikki said, “We tend to tell patients what to do instead of giving them choices along with the education to make informed decisions and that needs to change.”
Nikki Long was born and raised in Altoona, PA, where her journey in healthcare began. Nikki is an avid traveler with a love for destination hikes, having already knocked out a few of her bucket list treks in Kilimanjaro and Peru. She also deeply values time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, finding joy and balance in these cherished relationships.
As a High Risk Pregnancy Center provider since September 2024, Nikki works collaboratively with the Center’s perinatologists and each patient’s referring care team, providing consultative care and developing personalized care plans for high-risk patients. Her role emphasizes preparing patients for a safe and healthy pregnancy, while ensuring they and their families receive exceptional support.
Nikki’s mission is to make a meaningful impact by providing the highest quality care and support to every patient, no matter the challenges they face. She is dedicated to helping each woman achieve a healthy pregnancy and a positive experience.
