Meet Stephen M. Wold, MD, MPH

My patients deserve the highest level of medical care available and my goal as a maternal fetal subspecialist is to do everything I can to achieve the best possible outcome: a healthy mother and baby. Managing the often-complex issues in a high-risk pregnancy requires an incredibly high level of focus, knowledge and commitment. It’s challenging, gratifying and gives me the opportunity to help my patients through difficult situations and make a positive, lasting impact on their lives.

Though we are a busy practice, my patients tell me they appreciate having one-on-one time with me, to ask questions and talk. I do a lot of cheerleading – offering encouragement and support and sharing my experiences caring for thousands of women with all types of health concerns. Creating trust and a good personal relationship is necessary for providing the best possible care, and it’s what I enjoy most about being an MFM specialist.

I’m proud to work with my partners at the High Risk Pregnancy Center. We work well together and give patients, their families and their primary obstetricians a level of comfort they need when dealing with a difficult pregnancy. We are very selective about our team and I feel totally confident that each of us does what’s right for our patients.

In his free time, Dr. Wold spends time with his wife and four children. He enjoys the outdoors and training for triathlons.
