Janine Baumert, BS CADC
Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor
I have a sincere desire to help women overcome the suffering, challenges, and limitations of substance abuse. I chose this specialized field because I want to be a beacon of hope offering easy access to care to women struggling with opioid use disorders—something that isn’t readily accessible throughout the state of Nevada.
The most satisfying aspect of working in the field of addiction is assessing each woman’s individual needs, working alongside them to develop personalized, life-improving goals, and maximizing their success of recovery throughout their entire pregnancy and postpartum journey.
Addiction is a chronic disease that’s incredibly stigmatized within the community. As a practitioner treating opioid use disorders in pregnant women, it’s vital that each woman feels a sense of relief knowing there’s a place that offers safe, effective treatment. I pride myself in being the compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental counselor they need when it’s needed most.
In addition to her work at High Risk Pregnancy Center, Janine regularly engages with the EMPOWERED Program with Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Medicine, There Is No Hero In Heroin (TINHIH), Center For the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT), and the State of Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Agency (SAPTA).
Janine enjoys spending time with her growing family, taking road trips, enjoying outdoor activities, and serving as den leader for her son’s Cub Scout troop in her free time.
